This project was about capturing the spirit of Capella Kyoto through a visual narrative rooted in a timeless sense of place and the city’s rich cultural heritage. Nestled within Kyoto’s historic Gion district and inspired by the architecture and rhythm of the traditional machiya townhouse, Capella Kyoto is deeply connected to a living legacy of craftsmanship, artistry and cultural ritual. Hidden Cliffs was commissioned to create the complete opening visual asset library, translating the property’s distinctive character into a body of work that reflects Capella’s globally recognised standard of luxury hospitality.
